The Tankard Tour: Portsmouth Ale & Morris

The Tankard Tour is Mafficking Border’s new annual pre-May Day gathering - a deliberately small and relaxed tour of Portsmouth pubs, combining Morris dancing, good company and, naturally, a few tankards along the way. Rather than a traditional Day of Dance, the emphasis is firmly on the social side of Morris. A handful of visiting sides will join us as we make our way between pubs, with each stop offering an opportunity for some informal dancing and playing. Expect a leisurely afternoon, good beer, good gardens, good dancing and plenty of time to socialise with dancers from across the local Morris community. An “intimation” of Morris, if you will.
